Children don’t understand their symptoms, and consequently, they can feel very frightened. Due to this, they may begin to avoid situations and places to avoid feeling anxiety.
Many parents feel confused as their child may deny having any scared thoughts. Part of learning to control panic is learning emotional awareness. If all our thoughts are negative, how can we instinctively know what a negative thought is?
Common types of anxiety include social, emetophobia, and separation anxiety.
Hypnotherapy and EMDR aim to lessen anxiety levels and increase confidence. Consequently helping your child think in a more positive way. Sessions include coping strategies and techniques, including mindfulness.
