Hypnotherapy and EMDR are practiced internationally and respected by the medical profession. I often get asked, what can you treat? And the answer is everything (almost). Examples include phobias, anxiety, bed wetting, OCD, ADHD, panic attacks, PTSD. See below.
Habits are unconscious, as are most things. Because of this hypnotherapy can help teach the part of our mind that stores habits to change. Consequently changing the way we see, feel and react to the world around us.
EMDR (see EMDR page) is a great partner to hypnotherapy. It also changes things in the unconscious part of our mind. Both sides of our brain are stimulated when presented with a problem or memory to see it differently.
Hypnotherapy and EMDR are safe and EMDR. Both are researched.
Everyone can be hypnotised, but there is only 10% of the population that go into deep trance (the first time). Fortunately, the more you experience hypnosis the deeper in trance you go.
There is NO correlation between depth of trance and success. All that matters is that you want to make the changes and you listen to the hypnotherapy every day after the initial appointment.
It is absolutely amazing how quickly you can relax with hypnosis. EMDR is fantastic at clearing past trauma. You can move forward in your life and leave negative experiences and behaviours where they belong – in the past. I witness it every day, and it still amazes!
